BHA Exfoliator
BHA Exfoliator clears pores from the inside. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, so it can travel down into the pore and dissolve the mix of sebum and dead skin cells behind blackheads. An ordinary face wash never reaches that far.
And it is not only blackheads BHA Exfoliator goes after. Once the congestion clears, pores look less obvious and blemishes settle. It is the same blockage behind both.
The salicylic acid is used at 2%, the highest level the EU allows in a facial product. The formula is kept to eight ingredients in total. Glycerin holds moisture in, protects against drying agents and reduces water loss through the skin. Betaine moisturises and calms. Liquorice root softens and cares for the skin, so clearing congestion does not leave you dry and irritated instead.
Use BHA Exfoliator in the evening after cleansing and before your serum, one to three evenings a week. Start at the lower end. Apply with a cotton pad to clean, dry skin. There is nothing to rinse off.

Materials and recycling
Packaging is the part of the product you throw away. That is why we spend time on it.
The tube itself on Niacinamide Serum is made with 63% post-consumer recycled plastic: plastic that has already been used and collected, rather than newly made. The cap, and the rest of our bottles and tubes, are still virgin plastic, and that is the part we are working on.
Not everything is plastic. Some products come in glass, others in aluminium that is itself recycled material. Both can be melted down and used again many times over.
Our outer cartons are paper.
How to sort it
Plastic bottles, tubes, pumps and caps: plastic. They do not need to be clean.

Why it works
The difference between AHA and BHA comes down to one thing: water-soluble acids work on the surface, oil-soluble acids get into the pore. Blackheads are a pore problem, so surface exfoliation alone cannot solve them.
