Blemishes Regimen
Blemishes come with a second problem: the marks they leave behind. You clear one breakout and a dark spot stays for months, so the skin never quite looks settled even between flare-ups.
The instinct is to attack: strip the oil, scrub the surface, dry everything out. It backfires. Stripped skin produces more oil, and irritated skin leaves darker marks behind when a blemish heals.
This routine goes the other way and clears without drying the skin out. Expect clearer skin within four weeks, and fewer marks left behind as you keep going. Glycerin Hydra Cleanser cleanses away makeup, sunscreen and sebum without stripping the barrier. A few evenings a week, BHA Exfoliator comes in after cleansing and works inside the pore where the blockage sits. Azelaic Acid Serum does the daily work on blemishes, redness and the dark marks at the same time, and Balancing Complex Moisturiser handles the sebum production behind it all.
Three daily essentials and one targeted booster. Every Jorgobé routine is built that way. What changes is which formulas go into it.
None of the products in the routine contains ingredients that are advised against during pregnancy.
Bought as a regimen, the four cost 25% less than buying them separately.
Benefits
Clears blemishes and congestion from inside the pore.
Fades the dark marks blemishes leave behind.
Calms redness rather than adding to it.
Works on the sebum production behind the breakouts.
Gentle enough to use every day without drying the skin out.
None of the products contains ingredients that are advised against during pregnancy. If in doubt, ask your doctor or midwife.
MORNING
Glycerin Hydra Cleanser, then Azelaic Acid Serum, then Balancing Complex Moisturiser.
EVENING
The same three. On the evenings you use the booster, it goes after the cleanser and before the serum.
BOOSTER
BHA Exfoliator, one to three evenings a week. Saturate a cotton pad and sweep over clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Do not rinse.
Resist the urge to use more. Blemish-prone skin gets worse when it is over-treated, not better.
What each step does:
Glycerin Hydra Cleanser: cleanses without stripping, on a high glycerin base
Azelaic Acid Serum: 47% smoother skin over four weeks
Balancing Complex Moisturiser: 42% smaller area of oily patches in four weeks
BHA Exfoliator: 2% salicylic acid working inside the pore
Based on clinical studies of the individual ingredients at the doses we use. Results vary from person to person.
One active does the work in each step. These are the four.
Glycerin 50%. In the cleanser. At this concentration it is the formula rather than an additive, which is why skin is more hydrated after rinsing than before.
Azelaic Acid 5%. In the serum. One of the few actives that works on blemishes, redness and dark marks at the same time, gently enough for twice-daily use.
REGU®-SEB Complex. In the moisturiser. Saw palmetto, sesame and argan work on the sebum production behind the breakouts.
Salicylic Acid 2%. In the booster. Oil-soluble, so it works inside the pore rather than on top of it.

Materials and recycling
Packaging is the part of the product you throw away. That is why we spend time on it.
At least 50% of the plastic in our bottles and tubes is post-consumer recycled: plastic that has already been used and collected, rather than newly made. The rest is virgin plastic, and we work to bring that share down.
Not everything is plastic. Some products come in glass, others in aluminium that is itself recycled material. Both can be melted down and used again many times over.
Our outer cartons are paper.
How to sort it
Plastic bottles, tubes, pumps and caps: plastic. They do not need to be clean.
Glass bottles: glass.
Aluminium tubes: metal.
The carton: paper.
We are not there yet. Half of our plastic is still virgin, and that is the half we are working on.

Blemishes Regimen
The numbered icons on the packaging show the order. The booster carries a + rather than a number, because it does not always come last. Exfoliating boosters go in after cleansing, so they can prepare the surface. Treatment boosters go in after the serum. Each regimen tells you which.

Why it works
Four products that clear the skin without stripping it, which is the difference between a routine that keeps working and one that stops after three weeks.
The instinct with blemishes is to attack them: strip the oil, scrub the surface, dry everything out. It backfires. Stripped skin produces more oil to compensate, and irritated skin leaves darker marks behind when a blemish heals.
This routine clears without stripping. Salicylic acid works inside the pore where the blockage is, azelaic acid handles the marks and the redness at the same time, and the cleanser and moisturiser protect the barrier so the skin stops overcompensating.
