Oily Skin Regimen
Oily skin is usually treated like something to be removed. Wash the oil away, dry the surface out, and do it again in the middle of the day.
It rarely works. Skin that has been stripped reads that as damage and produces more oil to compensate. That is the loop most oily-skin routines are stuck in: shine by the middle of the day, another wash, more oil by late afternoon.
This routine regulates instead. Expect less shine across the day within four weeks, and skin that stays balanced rather than swinging between greasy and tight. Glycerin Hydra Cleanser cleanses away makeup, sunscreen and sebum without triggering that response. Niacinamide Serum helps settle oil production over time while refining the pores the sebum enlarges. Balancing Complex Moisturiser works directly on sebum production with the REGU®-SEB complex, and that is exactly the step people skip. A few evenings a week, BHA Exfoliator comes in after cleansing to keep the pores clear.
Three daily essentials and one targeted booster. Every Jorgobé routine is built that way. What changes is which formulas go into it.
None of the products in the routine contains ingredients that are advised against during pregnancy.
Bought as a regimen, the four cost 25% less than buying them separately.

Regulates oil production rather than removing oil.

Stops the cycle where stripped skin produces more oil.
None of the products contains ingredients that are advised against during pregnancy. If in doubt, ask your doctor or midwife.
MORNING
Glycerin Hydra Cleanser, then Niacinamide Serum, then Balancing Complex Moisturiser.
EVENING
The same three. On the evenings you use the booster, it goes after the cleanser and before the serum.
BOOSTER
BHA Exfoliator, one to three evenings a week. Saturate a cotton pad and sweep over clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Do not rinse.
Do not skip the moisturiser because your skin feels oily. That is the step that stops it producing more.
What each step does:
Glycerin Hydra Cleanser: cleanses without stripping, on a high glycerin base
Niacinamide Serum: 14.8% smoother skin in four weeks, with more even tone
Balancing Complex Moisturiser: 42% smaller area of oily patches in four weeks
BHA Exfoliator: 2% salicylic acid working inside the pore
Based on clinical studies of the individual ingredients at the doses we use. Results vary from person to person.
One active does the work in each step. These are the four.
Glycerin 50%. In the cleanser. Cleanses without stripping, which is what stops the skin producing more oil in response.
Niacinamide 5%. In the serum. Helps settle oil production over time and refines the pores it enlarges.
REGU®-SEB Complex. In the moisturiser. Saw palmetto, sesame and argan work on sebum production itself, which is the part most oily-skin routines skip.
Salicylic Acid 2%. In the booster. Oil-soluble, so it keeps the pores clear from the inside.

Materials and recycling
Packaging is the part of the product you throw away. That is why we spend time on it.
At least 50% of the plastic in our bottles and tubes is post-consumer recycled: plastic that has already been used and collected, rather than newly made. The rest is virgin plastic, and we work to bring that share down.
Not everything is plastic. Some products come in glass, others in aluminium that is itself recycled material. Both can be melted down and used again many times over.
Our outer cartons are paper.
How to sort it
Plastic bottles, tubes, pumps and caps: plastic. They do not need to be clean.
Glass bottles: glass.
Aluminium tubes: metal.
The carton: paper.
We are not there yet. Half of our plastic is still virgin, and that is the half we are working on.

Oily Skin Regimen
The numbered icons on the packaging show the order. The booster carries a + rather than a number, because it does not always come last. Exfoliating boosters go in after cleansing, so they can prepare the surface. Treatment boosters go in after the serum. Each regimen tells you which.

Why it works
Oily skin gets worse when you fight it, and better when you regulate it.
Skin that has been stripped reads it as damage and produces more oil to compensate. That is the loop most oily-skin routines are stuck in: shine by lunchtime, another wash, more oil by four.
Every step here is chosen to break it. The cleanser hydrates rather than strips, niacinamide settles the production over time, and the REGU®-SEB complex works on the sebum itself. The moisturiser is the step people skip, and it is the one that matters most.
