Most lip balms are wax. They sit on top, feel nice for 20 minutes, and leave the lips exactly as dry as they were.
Lips have almost no barrier of their own. They cannot hold water the way the rest of the face can, which is why you end up reapplying every hour.
This one does two jobs instead of one. Volulip™, a tripeptide and collagen from microalgae work underneath on volume, definition and the fine lines around the lip line. Expect smoother, fuller-looking lips within three to four weeks.
Shea and mango butter, castor, avocado and olive oils give the comfort straight away, and vitamin E and astaxanthin protect against the daily wear that leaves lips looking dull. The first part you feel from day one. The second is why lips look different after a month.
The finish is silky and glossy rather than sticky. Wear it alone, layer it over lip colour, or use a generous layer overnight, when the conditioning has time to work undisturbed.

Materials and recycling
Packaging is the part of the product you throw away. That is why we spend time on it.
At least 50% of the plastic in our bottles and tubes is post-consumer recycled: plastic that has already been used and collected, rather than newly made. The rest is virgin plastic, and we work to bring that share down.
Not everything is plastic. Some products come in glass, others in aluminium that is itself recycled material. Both can be melted down and used again many times over.
Our outer cartons are paper.
How to sort it
Plastic bottles, tubes, pumps and caps: plastic. They do not need to be clean.
Glass bottles: glass.
Aluminium tubes: metal.
The carton: paper.
We are not there yet. Half of our plastic is still virgin, and that is the half we are working on.
