Dryness & Dehydration Regimen
Skin can be dehydrated and oily at the same time, which is why the usual advice to use something richer so often does more harm than good. Dry skin is short of oil. Dehydrated skin is short of water, and no amount of cream solves that if the barrier cannot hold on to it.
This routine works on the water and the barrier at once. Expect skin that stays comfortable through the day instead of tightening mid-afternoon. Glycerin Hydra Cleanser leaves the skin more hydrated than it was before you washed it. Ectoin Hydra Serum holds on to water while a ceramide complex rebuilds the barrier that let it out. Balancing Complex Moisturiser seals it in, and Centella Serum comes in as the booster after Ectoin Hydra Serum. Start with a couple of times a week and build up if the skin takes to it. Centella is mild enough that for most people it becomes a daily step.
Three daily essentials and one targeted booster. Every Jorgobé routine is built that way. What changes is which formulas go into it.
None of the products in the routine contains ingredients that are advised against during pregnancy.
Bought as a regimen, the four cost 25% less than buying them separately.
Benefits
Restores water to skin that feels tight rather than dry.
Rebuilds the barrier that lets moisture escape.
Plumps the fine lines caused by dehydration.
Calms skin that has been pushed too far.
Works for dehydrated skin that is also oily.
None of the products contains ingredients that are advised against during pregnancy. If in doubt, ask your doctor or midwife.
MORNING
Glycerin Hydra Cleanser, then Ectoin Hydra Serum, then Balancing Complex Moisturiser.
EVENING
The same three. On the days you use the booster, it goes after the serum and before the moisturiser.
BOOSTER
Centella Serum, a few times a week, morning or evening. Increase to daily when skin feels particularly stressed or reactive.
Apply the serum to slightly damp skin. Hydrating actives draw water in, so they work best when there is some there to draw on.
What each step does:
Glycerin Hydra Cleanser: cleanses without stripping, on a high glycerin base
Ectoin Hydra Serum: water held in the skin for longer, with less lost through the day
Balancing Complex Moisturiser: calms redness and irritation while it hydrates
Centella Serum: 30.8% less blood flow in the cheek after six weeks
Based on clinical studies of the individual ingredients at the doses we use. Results vary from person to person.
One active does the work in each step. These are the four.
Glycerin 50%. In the cleanser. At this concentration it is the formula rather than an additive, which is why skin is more hydrated after rinsing than before.
Ectoin. In the serum. A molecule bacteria produce to survive extreme conditions. It holds water in place and shields the skin from further stress.
REGU®-SEB Complex. In the moisturiser. Keeps the skin steady, which matters because dehydrated skin is often oily too.
Centella Asiatica. In the booster. The plant behind cica products, paired with ceramide NP to rebuild the barrier that let the water escape.

Materials and recycling
Packaging is the part of the product you throw away. That is why we spend time on it.
At least 50% of the plastic in our bottles and tubes is post-consumer recycled: plastic that has already been used and collected, rather than newly made. The rest is virgin plastic, and we work to bring that share down.
Not everything is plastic. Some products come in glass, others in aluminium that is itself recycled material. Both can be melted down and used again many times over.
Our outer cartons are paper.
How to sort it
Plastic bottles, tubes, pumps and caps: plastic. They do not need to be clean.
Glass bottles: glass.
Aluminium tubes: metal.
The carton: paper.
We are not there yet. Half of our plastic is still virgin, and that is the half we are working on.

Dryness & Dehydration Regimen
The numbered icons on the packaging show the order. The booster carries a + rather than a number, because it does not always come last. Exfoliating boosters go in after cleansing, so they can prepare the surface. Treatment boosters go in after the serum. Each regimen tells you which.

The same three. On the days you use the booster, it goes after the serum and before the moisturiser.

Why it works
Dehydrated skin does not need a richer cream. It needs water, and a barrier that can hold on to it.
Dry skin lacks oil. Dehydrated skin lacks water, usually because the barrier has been compromised and cannot keep it in. That is why you can be oily and dehydrated at the same time, and why reaching for something richer so often makes it worse.
These four work on both halves. Ectoin and glycerin hold water in the skin, the ceramide complex rebuilds what lets it escape, and centella settles the reactivity that comes with a compromised barrier.

As a skincare lover with sensitive skin, trying new products is always a risk for me. But this regimen feels amazing on my skin - it makes it feel calm and well-hydrated. I simply love it!
I’ve tried countless face creams over the years. I’m not loyal to any particular brand as long as it works, I’m happy. This routine is especially great in the winter when my skin gets really dry.
