Most people who give up on vitamin C do so because it stung, went orange in the bottle, or both. Pure L-ascorbic acid is powerful, but it is also unstable and needs a low pH.
This one uses 5% 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid instead: a stabilised derivative that stays active in the bottle and converts into free vitamin C in the skin. The serum sits at pH 5.5 to 6.5, close to the skin's own. In a patch test on 50 people, 16 of them with sensitive skin, not one showed a reaction to it.
Vitamin C is documented to fade pigment spots, stimulate collagen synthesis and improve wrinkles and skin texture. Microalgae collagen amino acids bind water into the skin for an instant plumping effect and a smoother surface. Hyaluronic acid moisturises the upper layers, sugarbeet betaine is documented as an anti-irritant that also reduces age spots, and panthenol soothes. Vitamin E and astaxanthin add antioxidant protection.
The gel-cream texture absorbs quickly and layers easily under sunscreen. Use it morning and evening.
Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, and contains no ingredients that are advised against during pregnancy. Finish with SPF during the day, both to protect the results and because pigmentation returns without it.
