Micellar Cleansing Water
Some evenings the full cleanse is not going to happen. And some mornings the skin does not need washing, just wiping clean before the rest of the routine.
A wipe or any old micellar water solves half of it. The makeup comes off, but a film is left behind that either tightens or clings, and you end up rinsing anyway.
Micellar Cleansing Water takes off makeup, sunscreen and the day's grime in one sweep, including around the eyes, and leaves skin clean and hydrated rather than tight. Micelles are tiny cleansing molecules with a water-loving outside and an oil-loving centre. The centre grabs makeup and sebum, the outside stays happy in water, and the whole lot lifts off onto the cotton pad instead of being pushed around the face.
Nine ingredients in total. No PEGs, no fragrance, no foam. Hyaluronic acid and glycerin stay behind as a light layer of hydration, and the pH sits at 5.5 to 6.5, close to the skin's own. That is why no-rinse actually means no-rinse here.
Saturate a cotton pad and sweep it over the face, eyes and neck. Hold the pad against the eye area for a few seconds before wiping, so the makeup dissolves rather than being rubbed off. For heavy or waterproof makeup, go over twice, or follow with Glycerin Hydra Cleanser as a full double cleanse.
Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, and safe to use during pregnancy.

Materials and recycling
Packaging is the part of the product you throw away. That is why we spend time on it.
At least 50% of the plastic in our bottles and tubes is post-consumer recycled: plastic that has already been used and collected, rather than newly made. The rest is virgin plastic, and we work to bring that share down.
Not everything is plastic. Some products come in glass, others in aluminium that is itself recycled material. Both can be melted down and used again many times over.
Our outer cartons are paper.
How to sort it
Plastic bottles, tubes, pumps and caps: plastic. They do not need to be clean.
Glass bottles: glass.
Aluminium tubes: metal.
The carton: paper.
We are not there yet. Half of our plastic is still virgin, and that is the half we are working on.

Why it works
A micelle has a water-loving outside and an oil-loving centre. That is the whole trick: the centre grabs makeup and sebum while the outside stays happy in water, so everything lifts off onto the pad instead of being pushed around the face.
Most micellar waters then leave a film behind, which is why people rinse anyway. This one is built on nine ingredients with no PEGs, and hyaluronic acid and glycerin instead of anything that needs washing off. That is why no-rinse actually means no-rinse here.
A cleansing molecule that works by shape rather than by strength. Micelles gather into tiny spheres with their oil-loving ends turned inward, which is how they carry makeup and sebum away without the foaming surfactants a face wash needs, and without taking the skin's own oils with them.
Something the skin already produces. Hyaluronic acid attracts water and holds on to it, so skin looks plumper and fine lines look shallower while it is there.
A humectant: it pulls water towards the skin and holds it there. Glycerin also sits on the surface as a light film that slows how fast that water leaves again, which is why skin stays soft instead of tightening a few hours after you apply it.
